On March 9-18 2017 my younger brother and I flew to New York to attend our cousin's wedding. I fall in love with New York every time I go back. I love travelling however one thing I dislike is travelling to a cold place. I just hate filling up my luggage with bulky knits and coats and scarves.  I realized I have never gone to New York during the summer time...when it's nice and warm. This time around, there was a snow storm. We were even stuck at home one day because it was horrible out. Everyone who knows me knows how much I hate the cold and being cold...I just get miserable and whiney. You know I love New York though that even the snow didn't bother me. It was nice to roam around Brooklyn, SOHO, Chelsea, Midtown, and of course the Upper East Side. I love New York for all of the photo-ops, places to eat, and places to go. I wish I could've had time to see a Broadway show...one day it will happen. One of my good friends actually ended up going to New York around the same time so we had a chance to hang out. It was super cold to the point that my skin was cracking and my iPhone died twice and had to go inside a store and keep it in my pocket to warm it back up. Little tip if you're going to New York in the cold: pack a battery pack, ALWAYS have moisturizer and lip balm, and heat tech will be your best friend.

My cousin's wedding was so elegant, regal, and beautiful. It was so nice to all come together and celebrate two becoming as one. I call them mom and dad. What was also nice was reconnecting with my New York family. It was heart warming to be around them all and laugh and bond while we all have dinner. I sure missed them, I can't wait to go back...next time when it's warm of course.
